The problem
For Mpulse, the challenge was clear: it had become obvious that their existing systems and processes were making it extremely difficult to continue to achieve our strategic growth plans for the business. Having short listed a number of possible solutions the decision was taken to adopt PROJECTminder, as it had clearly been designed specifically to support the way management consultants operate.
The benefits
Through using PROJECTminder the benefits we have achieved are already making a significant impact on our business.
- The speed at which invoices can be created and distributed has dramatically improved our monthly invoice cycle. Our cash flow is obviously benefiting from this as we can now get our invoices out on the second day of the month, which is at least two weeks faster than it used to be.
- The automated invoice process has also allowed us to devolve responsibility to other individuals, freeing up considerable time each month from the Directors and allowing them to focus on growing the business and increasing chargeable work.
- All billable activity is now recorded accurately and the approvals process gives us a lot more control and ensures that nothing now gets missed. We now have the information to support all our invoices.
- The management reporting gives us a clear picture of our business performance, quickly identifying where there are gaps against our growth plans and enabling us to take appropriate action to hit the plan.
- We are now including information on PROJECTminder in our bid documents, as a clear indicator to prospects and clients of the level of ongoing information we can provide to them and increasing their confidence in the control we can exercise to deliver their project on time and on budget.
